NLSO aims to create an environment where good amateur players can meet in a sociable atmosphere while working on demanding repertoire under a professional conductor and leader.
We give three public concerts a year, usually in Muswell Hill or Friern Barnet, North London, and rehearse during term time on Monday evenings in the Hornsey/Crouch End area (N8), within easy reach of Highgate, Archway and Finsbury Park.
We like to hear from players of a good standard who are interested in joining the orchestra. We maintain deputy and waiting lists for woodwind players. New players attend for a trial period; there are no formal auditions.
