We are very sorry to announce that we have had to cancel our Mozart, Hubicki and Mahler concert on 28 March 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation and, in particular, Government advice on social distancing.

For those supporters who have already bought tickets to the concert through our ticketing provider, Ticket Source, you will receive an email shortly notifying you that the account you used to pay for your tickets will be automatically refunded within 7-10 working days.

As you might imagine, cancelling a concert at this late stage means that we will incur some significant costs with no ticket income to offset against it, which is difficult for a charity like ours. If you are in a position to do so, we would ask you to consider whether you could make a donation to the orchestra equivalent to your automatic ticket refund money (£14, 11 or £7 per ticket) which can be done through our Virgin Money Giving site. We would be extremely grateful if that were the case, although we fully recognise that many people will have their own financial concerns at the current time.

We are all too aware of how music nourishes the soul and how disappointing it is to have to cancel a concert that the orchestra has worked so hard to prepare for. We really look forward to getting up and running again as soon as possible, playing uplifting music for the benefit of our supporters and members alike.

In the meantime, we hope you and those close to you are able to stay well and safe during this difficult period and we look forward to bringing you some uplifting music in happier times.

With best wishes
